How was ORYA created? How is it funded?

ORYA was established in 1979, by the residents of Durham, Lee, and Madbury to provide extracurricular youth programs not available in the Oyster River School System.  ORYA was incorporated in 1981 and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is primarily funded by participant fees and is partially funded by the three towns.

How do I register my child/children online?

To register online, select the Registration option on the left menu. Click on the upcoming season's link to see if registration has began, or if it has already been closed, and to see which programs are available.

If registration has already closed, can I still sign my child/children up for a program?

There is a late registration fee if you miss the registration deadline. It is a fee of $10.00. If registration is closed due to a full program, we suggest checking out the other oppotunities in other programs available in the same season.

If I want to get involved with volunteering or coaching for ORYA, what do I do?

ORYA is a volunteer based organization and we couldn't do it without your help. Visit our contacts page to contact us to find out where we need help, and how you would like to help us.

Can I give a monetary donation to ORYA online?

My child/children can no longer participate in the program/s we signed up for, can I get refunded?

A monetary refund will be given to any registered participant as long as the following criteria is met:
1. The participant is fully registered in the activity and all paperwork has been completed.
2. The parent/guardian sends in the refund request form to the ORYA office within 2 weeks of the program’s start date. The form must be received in the office by this date. No refunds will be given after this time frame.
3. The refund request form is fully completed, including the reason for the request.

No refunds will be given for uniform fees.
No refunds of 'Non-Refundable' payments will be made.
