Simply go to http://www.ncsisafe.com and click on “Background Check Screening Self Registration” on the left side of the webpage. Complete three easy steps:
 
Step 1: Enter Self Registration Number: 67296582
Step 2: Enter Your Information as Requested
Step 3: Provide Legal Authorization and Certification
 
The “Red Light/Green Light” Results will be sent to Oyster River Youth Association National Center for Safety Initiatives will contact you directly if there are any questions, problems or issues related to your specific information. An email address is required when completing the background check as our contact with you will largely be electronic. Please be sure to add @ncsisafe.com to your list of acceptable domains in your email program to receive notifications from us.
 
It is important when entering your name, that you use your full legal name as written on your birth certificate or driver’s license. Please also verify that your social security number was typed correctly. Using nicknames or failing to type a correct social security number may delay or invalidate your background check.
 
If you have any questions or problems submitting your information, please call the National Center for Safety Initiatives at (866) 833-7100.
 
Once you have submitted your information you will receive a confirmation page. The background check generally takes 10 business days to complete and you may check your status on our website under the "Applicant Login to Check Your Status" link at www.ncsisafe.com.

ATTENTION all Baseball coaches and assistant coaches of Minors Live Pitch, Majors, and Babe Ruth!

Beginning with the 2008 season, Babe Ruth League, Inc. and Cal Ripken rostered managers and coaches are required to complete coaching education and certification. Any coach who successfully passes the Babe Ruth League Coaching Education and BaseballCertification Program will receive a certification that is valid for their entire coaching career with Babe Ruth League, Inc. and Cal Ripken. This also applies to any coach who has already taken and successfully passed the Babe Ruth Coaching Education and Certification Program. The certification will require a payment of $20.

Certification Procedure:

To gain your lifetime certification, please visit: http://www.baberuthcoaching.org. The certification will require a payment of $20.

Once you have passed the certification and have received an electronic copy of your completed certification, please forward the certification confirmation email to Rick Beary at Rick1aa@comcast.net.

In order to coach for this season, please have the certification completed and forwarded by: April 1st.

If you would like to be reimbursed for the $20 coach certification fee, please complete the required form above. The completed reimbursement form must be delivered to the ORYA office within 45 days upon completion of the certification.

Reimbursement will only be issued to those who pass the coach certification exam and who complete the reimbursement form within the guidelines provided.

Checks will be issued and mailed to the address provided within 30 days of submittal.
